Bibliothéque des Murmurs

In the Groupe Mach exhibition space, located in the University of Sherbrook’s law library, Jean Couteau set up an open mic pirate radio station situated in one ton of scrap metal found in a remote corner of Sherbrooke. Bibliothéque des murmurs refers to Jean Couteau’s obsession with ASMR, found objects, trash, confidentiality, and the law. Library patrons were invited to use the open mic station to share their thoughts as their voices were broadcast, unrecorded, directly into the Espace Invitation of ​​the Antoine Sirois gallery.
